Brazilian Wax – Sydney Inner West

Brazilian waxes have become extremely fashionable over recent years. The Brazilian is a must-do for women who can endure excruciating fashion pain. It is now so common that Brazilians are available in practically every shopping strip in Sydney.

In a true Brazilian wax then all the hair from the pubic area is removed. A common alternative is to have a ‘landing strip’ down the centre of the pubic bone.

The usual procedure for a Brazilian is that the client removes their necessary clothing. talcum powder may be applied spread liberally over the area to be waxed to prevent the hot wax from sticking to any skin that is sensitive. The hot wax is spread over the area for which hair is to going be removed. Once the wax briefly hardens then an edge of the was is lifted and used as a lever to pull off the rest of the wax. The beauty therapist may then finish with tweezers to remove any hairs not removed by the wax.

Tips for a Great Brazilian
  • Your hair needs to be about 10mm long to be removed as anything shorter may not adhere to the wax sufficiently. If your hair is too long then trimming may be necessary.
  • Exfoliate your bikini line and pubic area gently the day before your waxing (in fact some beauty therapists suggest exfoliating daily to deter ingrown hairs).
  • If you’ve never waxed the area before it might be appropriate to consider just beginning with a bikini line wax to see if there is any reaction.
  • Shower before your appointment.
  • Wear loose cotton clothing and underwear that is appropriate prior to and after the waxing.
  • Keep the area moisturised with lotions that are not scented for around 48 hours.
  • Avoid sexual activity until any slight swelling has subsided..

    When not to Wax
  • If you are using any Retinol products i.e. Retin A, Renova etc. on your bikini line or pubic area.
  • If you have any kind of sun burn or laser burn on the area to be waxed.
  • If you have any kind of STD whatsoever.
  • Do not schedule you wax when premenstrual bloating and hormones make everything more tender.

Be aware of any hygiene issues and any reactions as cases have been reported where people have had extreme reactions leading to serious incidents. For example a lady with diabetes suffered an extreme reaction to a Brazilian wax after some minor bleeding. Click here for more information.

Many women comment that they have greater sensation after a Brazilian wax. In removing the hair from the erogenous zones leads to an increased sense of feeling, allowing for a more pleasurable experience during sex. Some women also report that they prefer the clean feeling they have after waxing as a reason for why they prefer to wax their pubic hair.

Mobile Brazilian waxes are available for females only from Betty Bartolillo of Inner West Massage through the suburbs of the Inner West listed here. Call 0421 410057 if you require any information.
