Since our last newsletter one of our therapists, Leonie, has completed a course in Pregnancy Massage at Nature Care. If you are pregnant then a booking for a relaxing remedial massage with Leonie may be the well to go! Frozen Shoulder (Adhesive Capsulitis)
|
Frozen shoulder (or to give it its correct title Adhesive Capsulitis) is a debilitating condition that refers to a painful condition of the shoulder that can severely limit its range of motion and so giving the impression that the shoulder is "frozen". The condition affects women more than men, and occurs most frequently in women aged from 45-65.
The article briefly describes some of the physiology of Adhesive Capsulitis, the stages of the very painful condition and some of the treatments used to improve the function of the shoulder.
